The most amazing atmosphere imaginable! Some 2 million+ spectators make their way through the Route du Rhum Racing Village during the two weeks leading up to the start of the race from the port city Saint-Malo in Brittany, in France’s northwest.

Update I sent Debra – with associated video footage – on our trip to take Power of One across to Hamble, UK to ready her for the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe.

Just come off 2½ hour watch. It’s wet, cold and fogged in. And I 
don’t give a damn. Most amazing and exhilarating sail of my life. 
25 knots+ with small spinnaker (small at 145 m2 😊) and full main. 
Consistent 15 - 18 knots surfing. Heaven on Earth!!🙏🙏🙏
Must get some rest.
